관상을 믿으시나요?

 

 n번방, 박사방, 갓갓 등

요즘 언론에 자주 오르내리는 이름들이죠.

속칭 n 번방 사건으로

우리 사회의 어두운 단면을 또한번

보게 되었습니다. 

 

내 가까운 친구의, 친척의, 가족의

, 누군가의 소중한 딸중의 한 명일수도 있는

미성년자를 상대로 

입으로 담기조차 힘든 

성적인 학대를 자행한 사건입니다. 

 

 미성년자를 보호해야 할

우리 사회의 성인들이

오히려 돈을 내고 

그 성적인 학대에 동참하고 방관한

범죄자가

되어 버렸습니다.

그 수도

몇천명도 아닌 수만명에 이른 다는 사실에

정말 많이 놀랐습니다. 

 

경찰의 수사로 범죄에 가담한 운영자들이

한명씩 체포되었고 신상도 언론에 공개가 되고 있습니다.

악랄한 범죄를 저지른 인간이라는

선입견이 작용했을까요?  

하나같이 인상이 평범해보이지 

않았습니다.

 

무엇인가 음흉하게 감추고 있는듯한

눈매,  그리고 얼굴형

운둔형 히키코모리 같은 얼굴빛...

관상은 과학인걸까요? 

 

선행을 하면 그 선함이

얼굴에 묻어나고  

베풀면 그 넓은 마음이 얼굴에 새겨진다고

생각합니다. 

불혹을 넘기면 자신의 얼굴에

책임을 져야한다는 옛말도 있듯이, 

그만큼

어떤 마음 어떤 행동가짐으로 살아왔느냐가

그 사람의 얼굴에 

고스란히 드러난다고 생각이 됩니다.

 

관상이 과학이라기 보다는

선하지 못한 행동

남을 밟아서 이득을 취하려는 마음,

남의 처지와 아픔을

공감하지 못하는 마음,

돈만 벌면 된다는 적나라한 이기심..

 

그렇게 살아온 나날의 흔적들이

쌓이고 쌓여

얼굴에 남겨진것은 아닌지,

 

그 흔적들이 통계적 경험치로서

우리에게

관상이라는 말로 전해져 내려온것은

아닌지 모르겠습니다. 

 

막말을 일삼는 정치인, 구태의연한

정치인, 뻔뻔한 정치인들의 얼굴에서도

관상은 과학인가? 라는 의구심을 떨칠수가 

없네요.

 

개인적인 생각이었습니다.  

 

사회가 어수선하지만..

오늘도 행복한 하루 되셨으면 합니다.

U.S. insurers are doing the once unthinkable, turning away business from some Americans who want a life-insurance policy.

The driving force behind the action: a collapse in interest rates tied to the spread of the new coronavirus and an expectation from insurers that rates won’t rebound significantly anytime soon.

Many insurers have temporarily halted life-insurance sales to people 70 and older and who are in poor health. Insurance-industry executives say older people with underlying medical problems are dying at much higher rates from COVID-19 than younger people.

▶News Focus 2

 

Singapore has rolled out a new digital check-in system to boost its contact tracing efforts, making it mandatory at certain locations across its territory. 

Called SafeEntry, the digital check-in system collects data that can be used to facilitate contact tracing should an individual who came by the location be tested for COVID-19. QR codes are displayed at the entry and exit points of a venue, which visitors must scan and input their name, national identification number, and mobile number. 

The check-in system has already been deployed at more than 16,000 sites island-wide.
